Jeffrey Allen McDaniels

Jeffrey Allen McDaniels, 55, of Morgantown, died Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown. 

He was born May 31, 1964, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Edro “Buck” McDaniels and Patricia Duncan McDaniels, who survives. 

Also surviving are one sister Jackie McDaniels of Buckhannon; two uncles:  Wesley Duncan and Carl McDaniels and wife Shirley; one aunt Evelyn Miller of Charleston, W.Va.; and several cousins. 

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Rosie McDaniels and his maternal grandparents:  Ovid and Enid Duncan.

Jeff graduated Buckhannon-Upshur High School with the Class of 1982 and received a B.S. degree from WVU in 1986.  He was an avid Mountaineer fan and loved living in Morgantown where he had a “front-row seat” to the many WVU sporting events. 

He had been employed in retail management for many years with positions in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Virginia, Tennessee, and Ohio.  He was currently employed at Huntington Bank in Morgantown, and will be sorely missed by his coworkers there. 

Family and friends will remember his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone and his love for telling jokes.

The body will be cremated.  A private memorial service will be held with the Rev. Helen Oates officiating.  Interment will be in the Heavner Cemetery.
