The intersection of Ohio and Wood Street is closed January 22 and January 23 for the installation of a gas line by Mountain V Oil & Gas. Wood Street residences may be accessed via Monongalia Street.

Pamela Thea Fidler, 69, of Buckhannon, died April 7, 2026, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was a retired FBI Crime Statistics Unit employee who loved cooking, crafting, reading, and traveling.
Judith Kay Elmer, 65, of French Creek, died on April 8, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. She enjoyed watching westerns and working puzzle books.
The latest Hank Ellis All-Stars are Angelina Winter and Jaxon Spratt. Winter went 2-0 in singles and doubles to help the Lady Bucs earn their first win, while Spratt crushed two homers and drove in six in a 13-1 win over Lewis County.
