Independence Day weekend features fireworks, outdoor adventure at Stonewall Resort

Weston, W.Va. – Taking place July 2-4 and featuring fireworks, outdoor adventure and activities for the whole family, Stonewall Resort’s Independence Day Weekend celebration offers the perfect mid-summer getaway.

“It’s heartwarming to see so many new and familiar faces enjoying all we have to offer around the property this season,” said Andre’ D’Amour, general manager at Stonewall Resort. “It reminds us how important it is to slow down and enjoy quality time together, and we’re excited to be able to safely host special events like this again.”

D’ Amour said the weekend features a variety of activities for families, including daily lawn games, wildlife exhibit, bounce house, painting workshops and an outdoor movie, to name a few. And the Stonewall Outfitters Pass provides access to bikes, kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddle boards.

Guests can also relax by the resort’s outdoor pool, play golf at the Palmer Course, or enjoy fishing or boating on the scenic and expansive lake. Bistro dining will be offered on the patio outside Stillwaters Restaurant throughout the weekend. DJ Correct will perform lakeside on the Stillwaters Patio both Saturday and Sunday evenings.

On Sunday, July 4, the resort will host a special fireworks show over the lake. The breathtaking display is open to everyone (community residents and overnight guests) and visible from multiple vantage points across the resort property.

For a more unique and intimate fireworks-watching experience, the resort will host a special dinner and watch party at Lightburns Restaurant. Perched at the highest point of the resort property and offering the best views of the fireworks display, the event features a special dinner, along with a cash bar. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (304) 269-8890.
