Highland Landscaping takes over first place after big week in men’s golf league

Highland Landscaping surged to first place in the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League with a commanding victory, while Chris Brady and Chris Zickefoose earned top individual honors for the week.

BUCKHANNON – In week two of third quarter action in the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League, it was all Highland Landscaping.

Highland Landscaping won huge this week with a 30 ½-9 ½ victory over Hank Ellis Insurance to leap into first place with a 5 ½ point lead with 51 ½ points.

High Point Construction dropped to second place with 45 points after a 21 ½-18 ½ setback to Lisa Cain Edward Jones.

Custom Cabinets moved up three spots into third place this week with a 25 ½-14 ½ win over Sam’s Pizza with 44 ½ points.

First Community Bank slid into fourth place after a 24 ½-15 ½ victory over Feola’s Flowers with 43 ½ points.

Chris Brady of First Community Bank won Low Actual honors for the second week in a row with a 35 while Chris Zickefoose of Custom Cabinets took home Low Net honors with a 32.
