Highland Landscaping continues to build lead in Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League

Highland Landscaping extended its first-quarter lead in the Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League to 15 points after a decisive 22-7 win over Lisa Cain Edward Jones during a weather-shortened week four round.

TENNERTON – Following a rain out last week, the Buckhannon Country Club Men’s Golf League resumed play this Wednesday and was able to get in a partial round before the rains arrived.

Week four saw Highland Landscaping continue to build on their first-quarter lead after they beat Lisa Cain Edward Jones by a 22-7 score to push their lead to 15 points over second place High Point Construction with a 102 total.

High Point Construction remained in second place after a 20 ½-19 ½ win over Hank Ellis Insurance. They currently own 87 points overall.

Feola’s Flowers moved up three spots into third place this week after a 23-17 victory over Sam’s Pizza with 79 ½ points while Sam’s Pizza remained in fourth place with 78 ½ points.

In the other match of the week, First Community Bank downed Custom Cabinets by a 12-8 score.

Mike Tenney of High Point Construction and John Moss of Highland Landscaping tied for Low Actual honors with 39s while Lane Tenney of Feola’s Flowers brought home Low Net honors with a 31.
