Harrison County resident dies in house fire Tuesday

A Nutter Fort man died in a house fire Tuesday, according to investigators with the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office.

The 80-year-old male was the victim in a fire that occurred on Buckhannon Pike in Nutter Fort, Harrison County, around 7:30 A.M. June 10.

WVSFMO investigators were called to the scene and the cause has been ruled as undetermined due to the severity of damage to the home.

The victim has been transported to the WV State Medical Examiner’s Office autopsy and positive identification.
