Glenna L. Tenney

Glenna L. Tenney, 93, of Buckhannon, W.Va. died Monday, November 18, 2019, at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon.

She was born March 12, 1926, in Upshur County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Delbert Lee Wilfong and Georiga Lee Reed Wilfong Murphy.

On February 22, 1969, she married Rev. Luther Bennie Tenney who preceded her in death on November 29, 2008.

She is survived by four sons, Merrill E. McCray and wife Jiam of Jacksonville, Fla., Franklin E. McCray of Cleveland, Ohio, Danny McCray, Sr. and wife Barbara of Canton, Ohio and Walter A. McCray of Cleveland; three daughters, Rosemary I. Thompson and husband Joseph of Yakima, Wash., Betty J. Tsuldin of Ky. and Helen E. Toth and husband Daniel of Grafton, Ohio; special grandson and caregiver Danny McCray, Jr. and wife Darletta of Buckhannon; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn S. Caputo; two brothers, Darley LeeRoy Wilfong and Darrell Martin Wilfong and two sisters, Martha Ellen Wilfong Welch and Danna Lawrence Wilfong Zooman.

Mrs. Tenney was a homemaker and attended Faith Tabernacle church. She loved to color, play bingo and watch the birds outside her window at Holbrooks.

Friends will be received Friday, November 22, 2019, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Burial will follow at Reger Cemetery in Teter, W.Va.
