Ferrel Ray Day, age 82, of Belington, WV, died Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at West Virginia Caring Hospice in Elkins, WV. He was born December 2, 1942, in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late Anson and Delta Flossie Wiseman Day.
He is survived by one son, Darrel Lee Day and wife Heather of Buckhannon; three daughters, Carla DeBarr and husband Roger and Brenda Kay Canter and husband Dennis all of Buckhannon and Christina Davis of Belington, WV; four grandsons, Allen DeBarr, Wade Day, Cole Day and Trenton Oldaker all of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Jessica DeBarr of Buckhannon and three great-grandchildren, Kenzie DeBarr, Elijah Allman and Evangeline Day.
Mr. Day served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a truck driver by trade, loved the outdoors, going to the river, 4×4 riding, hunting and was a big NASCAR fan.
In honoring Mr. Day’s wishes, he will be cremated.
