Fairmont State University is raising a glass to tradition and community with the launch of its first-ever official beer, Falcon Fest. Local favorite Short Story Brewing is behind the brewing of Falcon Fest.
This new partnership celebrates Falcon pride and regional craftsmanship, bringing a unique taste of Fairmont State to fans and alumni.
Falcon Fest will be available on tap throughout the region and in cans through select retailers. The rollout begins with a series of events throughout December:
- Dec. 12: Falcon Fest served on tap at Festival Cucina, now held at Fairmont State (sold out)
- Dec. 17, 6 p.m.: Official launch at Short Story Brewing (Rivesville), featuring maroon Short Story swag for sale
- Dec. 20, 2 p.m.: Cans available at concessions and served in the hospitality room during home basketball games at the Feaster Center
“Falcon Fest is more than a beer — it’s a symbol of the pride and tradition that define Fairmont State University,” said Fairmont State University President Mike Davis. “This collaboration with Short Story Brewing reflects our commitment to celebrating the spirit of our campus and supporting local businesses that help our region thrive. We’re excited to give our alumni, students who are at least 21 years old, and friends a unique way to raise a glass to everything that makes Fairmont State such a great place.”
Falcon Fest will be available on draft at Short Story Brewing taprooms and other local establishments, as well as in cans at Fairmont State events and select retail outlets.
