Emmett Travis Heinrich

Emmett Travis Heinrich, 93, of Buckhannon, W.Va. died Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

He was born August 25, 1926, in Norfolk, Va., a son of the late Carl and Nancy Beatrice Crosby Heinrich.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Travis Scott Heinrich; one grandson, Charles “CJ” Bevins, III and one brother, Carl Lamar Heinrich.

He is survived by his former wife, Bettie Hammock of W.Va.; one son, Alan Heinrich of Las Vegas, Nevada; two daughters, Nancy Bevins and husband Charles of Buckhannon and Jane Warren and husband Mark of Middleton, Idaho; six grandsons, Scott Heinrich and wife Stephanie of NY, Collin McFadden of Idaho, Travis Bevins and wife Mackenzie, Justin Bevins, Rodney Lantz and Michael Bevins all of W.Va.; five granddaughters, Amanda Bevins of W.Va., Jenna Corry and husband Jeff of Utah, Charlotte Carroll of Tenn., Kellie Seiler and husband Weston of Utah and Kelsey Bevins of W.Va.; one sister-in-law, Bess Heinrich of California and several great-grandchildren.

Mr. Heinrich served during WWII in the U.S. Army Air Corps and worked as an Aircraft Mechanic.

He loved to golf, exercise and enjoyed attending the theater. He especially liked the Nutcracker and would watch it every year.

A private graveside service will be held for the family.
