PIPESTEM, W.Va. — Officials at Pipestem Resort State Park announced Friday that the first-ever Pipestem Oktoberfest has been scheduled for Oct. 16, 17 and 18, 2026.

The festival, which spans an entire weekend and the entire resort, will provide guests and visitors an opportunity to enjoy the crisp fall weather and enjoy great entertainment, food and shopping all weekend long.

“When the weather begins to cool and the leaves change, there is no better time to celebrate the season with a festival at Pipestem Resort State Park,” said Acting Chief of West Virginia State Parks Dillard Price. “From the iconic Mountain Creek Lodge and aerial tramway, to the great food and entertainment, this is the perfect opportunity to get out and experience what Pipestem has to offer.”

Weekend schedule of events

Friday, Oct. 16

Davis Health System
  • 5–9 p.m.: An authentic German buffet will be offered at the Bluestone Dining Room at McKeever Lodge.
  • Evening: Contests and games at the Black Bear Grill & Lounge, culminating with a free concert at the Black Bear stage featuring Reed and Walker.

Saturday, Oct. 17

  • 10 a.m.: The Marktplatz will open at Headquarters Grounds with juried handcrafted items from local artisans, food trucks and state park gift items from various state park shops across the system.
  • Noon–4 p.m.: A cruise-in car show will take place at the Headquarters grounds.
  • All day (Mountain Creek Lodge): Accessible only by aerial tramway, guests can experience the Pipestem Bier Garten tent, with free live entertainment featuring acts such as JJ Robinson, Dave Runyon and David Hurley, free contests and games as well as Bavarian food, giant pretzels and draft beers all for purchase. Beers will include a selection of draft beers including West Virginia State Parks’ private label draft, 36 Parks.
  • Ticketed events: An exclusive dinner by Chef Marion Ohlinger at the Mountain Creek Appalachian Cuisine restaurant and Johnny Staats and the Delivery Boys at the Faulconer Room at McKeever Lodge.

Sunday, Oct. 18

  • Morning: A special breakfast at the Bluestone or brunch at Mountain Creek Appalachian Cuisine.
  • Daytime: A ladies-only Walk in the Outdoor Space hike curated to celebrate the achievements of the first all-female space walk in October of 2019.
