Edward Earl Crawford

Edward Earl Crawford, 68, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at WV Caring Hospice Center in Elkins, WV.

He was born November 9, 1952, in Buckhannon, a son of Bob and Rella B. Gregory Martin, both who survive of Buckhannon. In addition to his parents, he is survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mr. Crawford was a professional gospel singer who was a founding member of the Mystery Men Gospel Group. Edward received numerous awards and recognitions throughout his career including, Male Vocalist of the Year in Pennsylvania & West Virginia ‘87; Gentleman of Gospel Music Award ’84; Featured Artist at Hershey Park in Hershey, PA ’76 and he was elected Director of the West Virginia State Gospel Music Association in 1971. In addition to his love of music Edward enjoyed football, golf and other sports-related events.

Friends will be received Monday, November 8, 2021, from 12 noon to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Rebelo officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
