Donald Lee Simons

Donald Lee Simons, age 77, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at his home.

He was born October 6, 1947, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Gerald and Eldora Marie Tenney Simons.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Linda Buchanan Simons and two brothers, Michael Gerald and Khevan Walter Simons.

He is survived by one son, Donald Scott Simons of Buckhannon; one brother, Neil Elwood Simons of Clarksburg, WV; two nephews, Michael David Simons of Clarksburg and Jason Michael Simons and wife Melissa of Phillipi, WV; one niece, Sherry Goodwin of Lost Creek, WV; three great nephews, Michael David Simons, Jr. of Clarksburg and Corbin and Bryson Simons both Phillipi; one great-great-nephew, Chad Michael Simons; friends, Raymond and Beth Baugh, Mary Ann and David Goode, Bill Stone, Danny Exline, Jim Browning, Kerry and Connie Crosby and Diane Tenney and his beloved dog, Lacy.

Mr. Simons was a construction worker and a caddy at the Buckhannon Country Club. He enjoyed riding side by side and fishing.

Friends will be received Monday, April 28, 2025, from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Cemetery in Buckhannon.
