Debra Darlene Reed Ward, 61, of Norton, W.Va. died Tuesday November 5, 2019, at her home.
She was born September 19, 1958, in Lewis County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Richard Eugene Reed and Carolene Sue Nelson-Groves.
On June 8, 2008, she married Rodney Ward who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Derrick Reed and wife Valari of Morgantown, W.Va. and Daniel Reed of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one step-son, Timmy Ward and wife Brandi of Beverly, W.Va.; three grandsons, Anthony Reed of Morgantown, Alexzander Reed of Colorado Springs and Kamron Shafer of Clendenin, W.Va.; one granddaughter, Carlee Ward of Elkins, W.Va.; two sisters, Paula Potts and husband Willie of Grafton, W.Va. and April Darnell and husband Tim of Charleston, W.Va.; one brother, Richard Reed and wife Teresa of Rock Cave, W.Va.; beloved dogs, Peanut and Bruno and her beloved cat, Ariana.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one step-son, Jeremy Ward and one sister, Sonya Linger.
Mrs. Ward was a Direct Care Staff Member for ResCare.
Friends and family are welcomed to attend a celebration of her life at Gould Christian Church in Adrian, W.Va. on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at 4 p.m.
In honoring her wishes, Mrs. Ward will be cremated.
