Daniel Marion Macek, 82, of French Creek, W.Va. died Friday, April 5, 2019, at Colonial Place in Elkins, W.Va.
He was born Dec. 7, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, a son of the late Frank and Stella Recepka Macek.
He was united in marriage on Nov. 17, 1962, to Marion Elizabeth Hüfner Macek, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one granddaughter, Inga Milioti, and one brother, Frank and wife Millie Macek of Michigan.
Mr. Macek attended the Art Center College in Pasadena, California and was retired from General Motors. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
The family has honored his wishes for cremation. Friends will be received at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Sunday, April 14, 2019, from noon – 1 p.m., at which time a memorial service will be held with the Rev. Scott Spotloe officiating.
