Cross Country Lady Bucs run fourth at Knight Night Relays

KINGWOOD – The Buckhannon-Upshur Lady Buc A foursome of Samantha Shreve, Brianna Dalton, Mia Sappey and Lydia Falkenstein finished in fourth place out of 25 teams in the Preston Knight Night Relays at Preston County High School Saturday night.

The foursome ran a combined time of 38:48.89.

Samantha Shreve ran a time of 9:14.37, Brianna Dalton clocked a time of 10:42.99, Mia Sappey ran a time of 10:02.89 and Lydia Falkenstein clocked a time of 8:48.63, which was the third fastest time split of the race.

The meet is set up where teams of four run in a relay style meet under the moonlight and other light sources set up for the event.

The Lady Buc B team placed 14th with a time of 44:28.20.

Jessica Williams ran a time of 10:04.79, Pressley Bowers ran a time of 11:29.34, Miah Reger clocked a time of 10:31.68 and Malia Bowers finished with a time of 12:22.48.

The C team was a partial team of Kaydence Monti with a time of 11:04.76 and Harlee Gillumn with a time of 13:59.49.

Morgantown won the team title with a combined time of 36:13.59.

Morgantown’s Irene Riggs had the fastest split time with a clocking of 7:47.07.

The Lady Bucs will be back in action for a home meet Saturday at 9 a.m.
