County unveils long-awaited recreation complex plan

WVDEP is accepting photos of roadside wildflowers for its free 2027 “Roadsides in Bloom” calendar. Submit up to three high-resolution, landscape images taken in West Virginia by Sept. 11, 2026; 12 winners and a cover photo will be selected.

Color Bar 51 will permanently close after the July 21 flooding caused extensive damage to the salon. They are the third Upshur County business to announce a permanent closure related to the flooding, joining the Hillbilly Grill and Smoker Friendly.
