City of Buckhannon Calendar: Special President’s Day weekend edition

All meetings, unless otherwise noted, are open to the public and will take place in the Council Chambers at Buckhannon City Hall, 70 E. Main St., according to the city.

Monday, February 16

  • Presidents Day — All city offices and the Transfer Station will be closed. The normal waste collection schedule will remain the same. Utility bills can be paid by phone at 1-866-933-4026, online at buckhannonwv.municipalonlinepayments.com or by using the drop box at the rear of the building.

Tuesday, February 17

  • Street closure alert — The West Lincoln and Henry Street intersection will be closed to all traffic beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, for city sanitary upgrades. The closure will remain in place until Friday, February 20, weather permitting, and will include an overnight closure. A detour route is set up for residents via Pinnell Street and Meadow Street.
