CEC and On Point Athletics advance in summer basketball league postseason tournament

TENNERTON – Division 2 held their second round tournament games on Monday in the Upshur County Summer Basketball League.

Advancing were CEC and On Point Athletics as they both picked up victories. CEC downed TKS Contracting by an 85-62 score as Praise Chukwudozie led CEC with 20 points while Shawn Moran had a game-high 22 points for TKS Contracting.

In the other second-round contest, On Point Athletics bested Blades & Fades by a 59-47 count.

Lamar Hurst led On Point Athletics with 26 points while Trey Key paced Blades & Fades with 19 points. CEC and On Point Athletics were slated to meet Tuesday for the Division 1 title and a spot in the league’s championship game.

In the Division 1 title game, Ralph’s Furniture was scheduled to play Pre Played Media Tuesday night.

The two divisional winners were slated to play for the league championship Tuesday night as well.
