Bradford “Brad” B. Bolton

Bradford “Brad” B. Bolton, 72, of Buckhannon, W.Va., died Sunday, September 15, 2019, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

He was born October 14, 1946, in Philippi, W.Va., a son of the late Burlen B. and Bernice Ketchem Bolton.

Mr. Bolton married the love of his life, Betty Warner, on July 24, 1999, who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Amy K. Bolton, Kathey Howes and husband Mark and Sue Norman and wife Tonya all of Buckhannon; one son, Paul A. Bolton and wife Mary Elizabeth of Buckhannon; granddaughters, Lisa Smith, Allison Howes, Jessica Bartley and husband Willie, Erica Norman, Shaleia Phillips and Sarah Bolton all of Buckhannon; grandsons, Ethan Howes and wife Nicole and A.J. Bolton all of Buckhannon; great-grandsons, Chase Smith, Gabriel Bartley and Ethan Howes, Jr. both of Buckhannon; great-granddaughters, Shelby Bartley and Leeha Howes both of Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews and specially close friends, Ronald and Susan Sanders of Fairmont, W.Va.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Blain, Bretsell and Elvis Bolton and one nephew, Bretsell Bolton, Jr.

Mr. Bolton was a retired Coal Miner and an avid member of Alcoholics Anonymous and Celebrate Recovery. His proudest accomplishment, besides his family, was his 37 years of sobriety and sponsoring many men and women across the state to help them to reach sobriety.

Friends will be received Thursday, September 19, 2019, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family to help with medical expenses.
