Bobcat women make MEC Tournament despite 1-0 loss to Davis & Elkins

ELKINS — The West Virginia Wesleyan women ended its regular season with a 1-0 loss to Davis & Elkins College Wednesday, in Elkins.

The Senators’ Andrea Stanziola scored the only goal of the match at 55:01 with an assist by Alexa Karsel.

The Lady Bobcats’ loss did no damage to its placement in the Mountain East Conference soccer table since Glenville State also lost Wednesday (to Concord University). Wesleyan remain as the fourth seed in the South Division in the upcoming tournament and will travel to Frostburg State University, the No. 1 seed in the North Division, on Sunday, Nov. 10. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m.
