Betty F. Talbott

Betty F. Talbott, 88, of Buckhannon, W.Va. died Friday, October 16, 2020, at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.

She was born March 9, 1932, in Normantown, W.Va., a daughter of the late James Henry and Stella Ann Nutter Facemire.

On July 24, 1954, she married B.L. “Rusty” Talbott who preceded her in death on September 13, 2016.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Tom Facemire; three sisters, Bernice Ferrell, Beatrice Miller and Mary Knight and her son-in-law, Benjamin T. Vincent.

She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Vincent of Heaters, W.Va.; one son, Brett Talbott and wife Renee of Buckhannon; two grandsons, Emerson Talbott of Ashville, N.C. and Matthew Fox and fiancée Leigha Jones of Shinnston, W.Va.; two brothers, Forrest Bud Facemire and wife Donna of Ava, Mo. and Charles Facemire and wife Mary of Huntsville, Ala.; one sister, Maxine Seese and husband Eugene of Clarksburg, W.Va. and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Talbott was the Co-Owner of the Talbott’s Subaru Company in Buckhannon. She was a Senior Employment Coordinator for Central WV Aging Services. She won the award for Outstanding Older Workers Training Director in the U.S. and was honored in Phoenix, Ariz. at the National Conference by the National Council on Aging.

Friends will be received Monday, October 19, 2020, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jack Bohman officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Run Baptist Church Cemetery in Excelsior, W.Va.
