A breast cancer awareness drive-thru will take place Thursday, October 8, from 6 to 7 p.m. at 70 N Sturmer Street in Belington.

Barbour Community Health Association is hosting the annual event and invites everyone to attend. Its release says participants can pick up educational materials, take-home items and refreshments. Patients can get flu shots during the event.

Each participant will get an entry in the following day’s door prize drawing, with gift cards and a Wellness Center membership among the prizes. A rose-mirror gift is also planned for breast cancer survivors.

“Our community has always shown that strength grows when people stand together,” said Connie Williams, the association’s patient assistant coordinator and certified application counselor, in the release.

More information about the association is available at barbourhealth.org.
