B-U’s Hurst wins 138-pound title at Brooke Classic

WELLSBURG – Tucker Hurst had quite the tournament this past weekend in the Brooke Classic.

Hurst entered the tournament seeded seventh in his 138-pound division and wound up going a perfect 4-0, winning the championship in his weight class.

Hurst pinned Hampton’s Alan Danner in the first round, won a 5-4 decision over Trent Jones of Parkersburg South in the quarterfinals and pinned Ryan Ward of John Marshall in the semifinals.

He downed Robert Allison of Trinity (Washington) in the title bout.

Two other Bucs placed in the top 10 as Aidan Wilson (126 pounds) and Nathan Cornett (145 pounds) both placed seventh.
