Shaving heads to combat breast cancer: B-UHS raises $16K for Betty Puskar Center
Buckhannon-Upshur High School English instructor Brittney Barlett was one of 20 staff and faculty who volunteered to have their head shaved on Friday at the school. The breast cancer awareness event kicked off in early October and raised a total of $16,000 for the Betty Puskar Breast Care Center at West Virginia University. Junior Caitlyn Wendling was selected to help shave Bartlett’s hair along with Stephanie Loudin from Modern Hair Design.
