BUCKHANNON – Calling all artists: foster creativity within yourself and your community at Artistry on Main. The gallery is currently seeking talented individuals to join their prestigious cooperative of local artists.

“It’s just great being a part of a co-op where we all look out for each other and you get to work with other artists,” said Christine Keller, president of Artistry on Main. “The vibe here inspires creativity.”

Artistry on Main is home to artwork of various mediums; pottery, mixed media, photography, painting, woodworking, fabric and more.

The gallery is currently seeking the following artisan mediums:

  • Woodworking
  • Basket Weavers
  • Weavers
  • Leather Work
  • Copper Tooling
  • Felting
  • Glass Art
  • Pottery

At this time, Artistry on Main is at full capacity for jewelry makers, photographers and painters. However, Keller expressed those artists are welcome to jury in and be placed on the waiting list.

Upon submitting an application, artists are asked to present between three and six pieces of their work in ready-to-sell condition. Once the application is approved by the jury, gallery members are asked to set up their exhibit with recent inventory where the artist will then receive 100% of their sales. Members of the gallery must agree to maintain cleanliness and inventory of their booth, reserve their booth by paying a low, monthly fee and overseeing gallery operations for one, eight-hour shift per month to pursue membership.

Visit the Artistry on Main website to download an artist application or pick one up in person at Artistry on Main at 27 E. Main Street in Buckhannon. Follow Artistry on Main on Facebook for frequent updates on upcoming classes, artist spotlights, new arrivals and more.
