Buckhannon’s Artistry on Main to feature a variety of fun and creative artist pop-ups in December

BUCKHANNON – Make holiday shopping a breeze and support local artists during the first-ever Artistry on Main pop-up booths throughout December.

The artist pop-up booths hope to bring Christmas cheer and art appreciation to downtown Buckhannon. The handmade and handcrafted pieces made by local artists can make the perfect holiday gift for loved ones of all ages.

Eleven artists from the gallery will set up an expansive booth display at the gallery with a broad selection of their product line, new items, and limited edition pieces that are available for purchase each day of the pop-ups. Shop your favorite artists on their scheduled day, in perfect timing for the busy holiday shopping season.

Below is the Artistry on Main Christmas Artist Pop-Up Schedule:

    • December 2 – LeeAnn Brown – Sun Catchers
    • December 3 & 4 – Karen Wilfong – Photography
    • December 8 – Diana Black – Art Prints
    • December 10 – Kate Harward – Pottery
    • December 11 – Stacy Marteney – Chocolate, Jelly
    • December 15 – Sara Golden – Art Prints, Greeting Cards

    • December 18 – Melissa Dennison – Soaps, Lotions, Potpourri, Spoons
    • December 23 – Christine Keller – Jewelry, Needle Felting

“We’re having these pop-ups to benefit the artists, promote their work more and get them known in the community and throughout the state,” said Christine Keller, President of Artistry on Main.

Hot chocolate and light refreshments will be available for guests, at the discretion of the artist at each scheduled pop-up.

Visit the gallery pop-ups at 27 East Main Street in Buckhannon on Thursdays through Saturdays – with some Sunday displays – from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until December 23. Follow Artistry on Main on Facebook for a weekly schedule of which artists will set up a pop-up booth at the gallery.

“I’m hoping that people come in and appreciate the handcrafted work over the big-box stores and use this time to give back to the community,” said Keller. “Not only do they get a great product, it helps the artist. The economics for what you’re getting back from your dollar – for every dollar spent in the community – the trickle-down economics helps us all.”
