Justin Matthew Riggs

Justin Matthew Riggs, 38, of French Creek, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021. 

He was born on March 19, 1983, in Elkins, a son of the late Mark Flint Riggs and Terry McQuain Simmons, who survives with her husband Phil in Dunmore, W.Va. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepmother Margaret Riggs.

In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by one daughter Rilea Maddison Riggs; girlfriend Beth Brown and her children Taylor, Jeremy, and Aaliyah of French Creek; two sisters: Vanessa and husband Larry Lance and Lindsey Riggs, both of Buckhannon; one brother Travis Riggs of Buckhannon; and nieces and nephews: Alyssa, Caleb, Colin, Bella, Graeson, Matthew, Palmer, Lilyanna, and Nova.

Justin was a carpenter and loved to build things. He enjoyed four-wheeling and was an avid WVU sports fan. Family and friends will long remember his joking personality and his prankster antics.

The family will receive friends at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Sunday, August 1, 2021, from noon to 2 p.m., with a funeral beginning at 2 p.m., with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Interment will follow in the French Creek Memorial Gardens. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral chapel to assist the family with funeral expenses.
