Douglas Kent White

Douglas Kent White, 59, of Buckhannon, W.Va. died Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at his home.

He was born November 24, 1961, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Allen Scott and Barbra Agnus Hornbeck White.

On July 11, 1987, he married Linda Lee, who survives. He is also survived by one daughter, Devin Bartin and husband Alex of St. Louis, Mo. and one brother, Bruce White of Buckhannon.

Mr. White was a school bus driver and then retired as the Bus Director for the Upshur County Board of Education. After retiring, he took a part time job as Bailiff in Upshur County and as a security guard. Doug loved camping and making knives.

Friends will be received Saturday, March 20, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
