A total of 94 new cases of COVID-19 reported in West Virginia on Tuesday

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources announced Tuesday that 94 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the Mountain State.

“The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reports as of 5 p.m., on July 14, 2020, there have been 213,894 total confirmatory laboratory results received for COVID-19, with 4,407 total cases and 97 deaths,” according to a press release.

No additional cases were reported in Upshur County on Tuesday. Eleven cases locally are active, according to the DHHR.

New cases were reported Tuesday in Berkeley, Boone, Brooke, Cabell, Clay, Hampshire, Hancock, Harrison, Kanawha, Lewis, Marion, Marshall, Mason, McDowell, Mineral, Monongalia, Ohio, Pendleton, Preston, Raleigh, Randolph, Tucker, Wayne and Wood counties.

About 1,328 West Virginia cases remain active, according DHHR data. Of the cases that are no longer active, 2,982 people have recovered and 97 have died.
