Jason Scott Marfield

Jason Scott Marfield, 26, of Weston, W.Va., died Friday, May 24, 2019, at his home.

He was born June 16, 1992, a son of Sandra Samples Marfield of Buckhannon, W.Va. and the late Jeffery Marfield.

In addition to his mother he is survived by the love of his life, Shelby Godfrey of Weston; two brothers, Jeffery Tyler and Brandon Curtis Marfield both of Buckhannon; one sister, Rachel Hope Marfield of Ala.; special family and friends, Arley and Cathy Godfrey, parental in-laws and friends; brother-in-law, Darius Godfrey; one niece, Amaya Rodrigues of Abington, Va.; two nephews, Jeremiah Marfield of Ala. and Brantley Godfrey of Buckhannon and his beloved cat Kilo and dog King.

Jason was a chef who was passionate about cooking. He loved music, especially ICP and was an avid video game player who spent hours playing World of Warcraft and Halo.

Jason was compassionate, kind and had a heart of gold that would do anything for anyone. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our future dreams and love were real, but our time was too short.

Friends will be received Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. with Pastor Frank Spears officiating.

In honoring his wishes, Jason will be cremated following the services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
