Upshur County grand jury indicts 34 in May term

BUCKHANNON – Multiple individuals who were arrested during a drug round-up completed Thursday by the Mountain Lakes Drug and Violent Crime Unit were indicted this week in Upshur County Circuit Court.

In total, an Upshur County grand jury indicted 34 people in 31 indictments handed down during the May term of court.

Among the charges were drug-related crimes, including possession with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet from a school and conspiracy, as well as other charges, such as embezzlement, fraudulent use of an access device and fleeing with reckless indifference to the safety of others.

Those indicted include:

  • Denise Genevive Posey, 29, of Buckhannon, was indicted for embezzlement, a felony, one count.
  • Jacob Wayne Hill, 20, of Buckhannon, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) with the intent to deliver, a felony, one count.
  • Joseph Patrick McHale, 33, of Buckhannon, was indicted for fraudulent use of an access device, a felony, five counts.
  • Robby Russell Wright, 29, of Weston, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) with the intent to deliver, a felony, one count.
  • Christopher Frank Nelson, 36, of Buckhannon, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) with the intent to deliver, a felony, one count.
  • Jack Anthony Bennington, 29, of Rock Cave, was indicted for fleeing in a vehicle with reckless indifference to the safety of others, a felony, one count.
  • Hobart Joshua Brown, 40, of Rock Cave, was indicted for driving under the influence of alcohol, third offense, a felony, one count.
  • Colten Lee Foster, 25, of Buckhannon, was indicted for fleeing on foot, a misdemeanor, two counts; fleeing in a vehicle with reckless indifference to the safety of others, a felony, one count; possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, two counts.
  • William David Brown, 44, of Buckhannon, was indicted for fraudulent scheme, a felony, one count; embezzlement by misuse of fiduciary relationship, a felony, three counts.
  • Dewey Wade Tiffner, 32, of Ellamore, was indicted for grand larceny, a felony, one count; possession of a stolen or unlawfully taken vehicle, a felony, one count.
  • Bobby Lyn Todd, 26, of Philippi, was indicted for displaying obscene matter to a minor, a felony; one count.
  • Michael Anthony Cryster, 33, of Buckhannon, was indicted for conspiracy to commit a drug felony, a felony, one count; possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) with intent to deliver, a felony, one count.
  • Bobbie Jane Miller, 40, of Buckhannon, was indicted for conspiracy to commit a drug felony, a felony, one count; possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) with intent to deliver, a felony, one count.
  • Anthony Coleman Bryant, 22, of Buckhannon, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) with the intent to deliver, a felony, one count.
  • Joseph Ryan Lane, 29, of Rock Cave, was indicted for driving while license revoked for DUI, third offense, a felony, one count.
  • Chad Brett Hayes, 28, of Buckhannon, was indicted for delivery of a controlled substance (buprenorphine), a felony, three counts.
  • Lucas Ryan Unger, 26, of Buckhannon, was indicted for delivery of a controlled substance (marihuana), a felony, two counts.
  • Wesley Adam Mayes, 30, of Buckhannon, was indicted for delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) within a 1,000 feet of a school, a felony, three counts.
  • Candy Lorraine Suttle, 38, of French Creek, was indicted for delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), a felony, one count; delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) within 1,000 feet of a school, a felony, one count.
  • Keshawn Battle-Patterson, 19, of Hampton, Virginia, was indicted for delivery of a controlled substance (marijuana) for remuneration within a 1,000 feet of a school, a felony, one count; possession of a controlled substance (marijuana)with intent to deliver for remuneration, a felony, one count.
  • Trey Donovan Lee, 22, of Waldorf, Maryland, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) with intent to deliver for remuneration, a felony, one count.
  • John Junior Shipman II, 39, of Buckhannon, was indicted for delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) within a 1,000 feet of a school, a felony, one count; possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) with the intent to deliver within a 1,000 feet of a school, a felony, one count.
  • Garry William II Moran, 39, of Buckhannon, was indicted for conspiracy to possess controlled substances (oxycodone, heroin and methamphetamine) with the intent to deliver, a felony, one count; possession of a controlled substance (oxycodone, heroin and methamphetamine) with intent to deliver, a felony, three counts.
  • Johnna Dee Courtney, 37, of Buckhannon, was indicted for conspiracy to possess controlled substances (oxycodone, heroin and methamphetamine) with the intent to deliver, a felony, one count; possession of a controlled substance (oxycodone, heroin and methamphetamine) with intent to deliver, a felony, four counts.
  • Timothy Strickland, 39, of Buckhannon, was indicted for delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), a felony, one count; delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) within a 1,000 feet of a school, a felony, one count.
  • Joshua David Casada, 34, of Buckhannon, was indicted for conspiracy, a felony, one count; possession with intent to deliver (methamphetamine), a felony, one count; conspiracy to possess with intent to deliver (methamphetamine), a felony, one count.
  • Levi Douglas Reed, 22, of Tallmansville, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) with the intent to deliver, a felony, one count; possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, one count.
  • Joshua James Endicott, 36, of Buckhannon, was indicted for failure to provide notice of sex offender registry information changes, life registrant, a felony, four counts.
  • Bo Dwain Beckner, 39, of Buckhannon, was indicted for driving while license revoked for DUI, third offense, a felony, one count; and leaving the scene of a crash involving damage to a vehicle, a misdemeanor, one count.
  • Keythan Elias Heater, 26, of Buckhannon, was indicted for fraudulent scheme, a felony, one count; worthless check, a felony, four counts.
  • Zachary James Spacht, 33, of Morgantown, was indicted for driving while license revoked for DUI, third offense, a felony, one count.
  • Dustin Wayne Landis, 27, of Volga, was indicted for delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), a felony, one count.
  • Thomas Morgan Lowe, 25, of Ireland, W.Va., was indicted for delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) within a 1,000 feet of a school, a felony, one count.
  • Joshua Cutright, 30, of French Creek, was indicted for delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), a felony, one count.
