Waunita Kathleen Wilson

Waunita Kathleen Wilson, 93, of Buckhannon died Saturday, March 9, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family and under the care of W.Va. Hospice. 

She was born Nov. 2, 1925, at Wilsontown, W.Va. a daughter of the late Matthew and Bernice Hull Lane.  She was united in marriage on Aug. 30, 1941, to Bacel Wilson who preceded her in death on May 17, 1988.

 In addition to her father and mother and her husband she was also preceded in death by one sister Dixie Hoover, one brother James Lane, one son-in-law Loren Anderson and one great grandson Jacob McClain. 

She is survived by her children:  Margaret Anderson of Gaines, Lawrence and wife Tressie Wilson of Gaines, Karen and husband Gordon Baum of Buckhannon, Pamela and husband Dallas Herndon of Frenchton, Timothy and companion Kelly Wilson of Goshen; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren;   two sisters:  Ann Brown of Buckhannon, Mary Brown of Abbott and one brother Dewayne Lane of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews survive. 

Mrs. Wilson attended the Point Pleasant Church at Abbott.  She loved reading her Bible every night.   She was known for her good cooking and always wanted to make sure you never left her house hungry. 

Friends will be received at the Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the funeral hour with Pastor David Jessie and Rev. Wilma Jackson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Chestnut Flat Cemetery.
