Aislinn Adoreé Darien Posey-Knight, age 27, was taken unexpectedly to be with her Lord & Savior on Thursday, October 29, 2026. She was born January 21, 1999, in Elkins, WV, a daughter of Amanda Posey and the late Samuel Ross, Jr.
On August 14, 2024, she married the love of her life, Thomas “Shayne” Knight, whom she welcomed into Heaven on October 31, 2026.
In addition to her mother, Amanda, she is survived by three children, Kenndrix, Emmarie, and Aspyn; five siblings, Zachary Ross and wife Heather of Buckhannon, Chezaray Posey of Buckhannon, Brayden Posey and fiancée Ariah Brown of Buckhannon, Garavin Posey of Selbyville, WV, and Isaiah Ross and companion Orean Anderson of Elkins, WV; and nine nieces and nephews, Bentley, Rae-leigh, Raenah, Raeghan, Rinzley, Jarred, Danielle, Grant, and Isabella.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Ezekiel Posey; two uncles, Edward Ross and Ryan Davis; and maternal grandfather, Kenneth Davis, Sr.
Aislinn worked various jobs in her short life, but the one she loved the best was being a mother to her three children. She attended Way of Holiness Church and enjoyed photography, swimming, spending time outdoors, and doing anything with her family.
Friends will be received Friday, November 6, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Way of Holiness Church in Buckhannon. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. In honoring Aislinn’s wishes, she will be cremated following the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses or to Right to Life, in Aislinn’s memory, P.O. Box 1055, Buckhannon, WV 26201.
