Morgantown band Sample Text to release “City In The Sky” October 30

“City In The Sky,” a new single from Morgantown band Sample Text, is due October 30 on West Virginia University’s student record label, Mon Hills Music Group.

The October 20 announcement from Mon Hills Records follows the band’s signing with Mon Hills Music Group, which My Buckhannon reported in March.

The five-member group began making and performing music in 2023. Noi Alfgeirsson and Matthew Bellisario both play guitar and sing. Gabriel Flanagan plays keyboard and saxophone, Ian Gunno plays drums and Ave Stimeling plays bass.

The band’s Morgantown performances have included shows at 123 Pleasant Street, Patrick’s House, The Encore and The Art Bar.

Information about the release is available on Instagram at @monhillsmusicgroup and @sampletext.music.
