Diane E. Snyder Hoover, 82, of Buckhannon, died September 23, 2026. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Buckhannon-Upshur High School will induct six honorees into its Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. in the high school commons. Tickets are $20 and include dinner and the ceremony; purchase them through the athletic department or event organizers.
Buckhannon-Upshur’s Alivia Cogar and Alex Fisher are this week’s Hank Ellis All-Stars. Cogar led the volleyball team in digs across three matches, while Fisher paced the golf team with two top-10 finishes.
