CHARLESTON — The Girl Scout Cookie lineup is getting a little bigger — and a lot more inclusive.
Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council has announced two first-of-their-kind additions to the 2027 Girl Scout Cookie lineup: Patch Pals, the first Girl Scout Cookie created just for dogs, and Girl Scout Sparkables, the first allergy-friendly cookie in the Girl Scout Cookie Program.
Developed in partnership with BARK and Partake, both new treats will be available exclusively online for direct shipping beginning January 2027.
The new offerings join iconic Girl Scout favorites like Thin Mints, Samoas and Tagalongs, creating new ways for families, friends and even four-legged companions to participate in the beloved Girl Scout Cookie tradition.
A cookie for every member of the family
Inspired by Girl Scouts across the country who have advocated for a lineup that reflects the diverse needs of their communities, Patch Pals and Girl Scout Sparkables offer two ways to make more people feel included in Girl Scout Cookie season.
Patch Pals bring the cookie celebration to the family dog. Developed with BARK (NYSE: BARK), the dog-obsessed company on a mission to make all dogs happy, Patch Pals are soft-baked, blueberry muffin-flavored treats created specifically for dogs.
Each treat features one of four colorful “patch” designs inspired by iconic Girl Scout experiences, making Patch Pals a playful way for Girl Scouts to celebrate their special bond with their canine companions.
Girl Scout Sparkables bring a new level of inclusivity to the Girl Scout Cookie portfolio. Developed with Partake in a facility designed to avoid the nine major food allergens, Girl Scout Sparkables are crunchy oatmeal cookies featuring chocolate chips and colorful sprinkles.
The new cookie gives families navigating certain food allergies an opportunity to participate in the Girl Scout Cookie tradition.
Together, Patch Pals and Girl Scout Sparkables represent the Girl Scout Cookie Program’s continued evolution while staying true to the tradition millions of people look forward to each year.
More than a cookie
For Girl Scouts, the Girl Scout Cookie Program is about more than selling cookies. Each season, girls develop essential life skills — including goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics — as they set goals and work toward experiences that matter to them.
Cookie proceeds help make those experiences possible, from outdoor adventures and travel opportunities to community service projects, STEM exploration and leadership development. All proceeds stay local to support Girl Scout councils and troops.
When and where to find the new cookies
Girl Scout Cookie Season is recognized nationally from January through April, although local dates vary by region. In our area, the 2027 Girl Scout Cookie Season is set to begin Thursday, January 7.
Patch Pals and Girl Scout Sparkables will be available exclusively online for direct shipping beginning in January.
