BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — The City of Buckhannon has been notified that Mountaineer Gas will begin a gas line replacement project along Meade Street starting Monday, August 31. Work will begin at the Camden Avenue and Meade Street intersection and will progress toward the College Avenue and Meade Street intersection over the course of the project.
The project is expected to continue for approximately two weeks, or until completion, with crews working Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
As work advances along Meade Street, rolling street closures will occur. During this construction period, no on-street parking will be permitted within the active work zone.
The city urges motorists to use caution when traveling near the construction area and appreciates the community’s patience as this important infrastructure upgrade is completed.
