BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — The Pallottine Foundation of Buckhannon is accepting grant applications through September 30, 2026, for its Healthy Communities Initiative, which provides support to nonprofits and other organizations for projects that address health-related needs in Barbour, Lewis, Randolph, Upshur and Webster counties.
The initiative also provides funding to improve an organization’s capacity to work effectively and develop strong finances, leadership and infrastructure.
“Every day, organizations in our area are finding creative ways to build stronger, healthier communities,” said Laura Boone, executive director of the Pallottine Foundation of Buckhannon. “The Healthy Communities Initiative gives our team an opportunity to support those efforts and ensure organizations have what they need to continue helping others.”
Through Healthy Communities, applicants may receive up to $20,000 in grant funding for continuation or development of programs that address health and wellness, capacity building, food insecurity, substance use disorder, tobacco use prevention and cessation, or spiritual and pastoral care.
Eligibility requirements and application guidelines are available online at pallottinebuckhannon.org. Grant awards will be announced in early December.
