Lester Douglas Kuhn II

Lester Douglas Kuhn II, 77, passed away on August 5, 2025, at St Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, WV following an extended illness.

Doug is preceded in death by his loving parents, Lester and Nora Belle Kuhn, and two stepsons, Troy and Mitchell Lambert.

He is survived by his two sons, Daryl Kuhn of Elkins, WV and Brad Kuhn of Buckhannon; sisters, Judy Cook of Bob White, WV, Joyce (Thom) Rasnake of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Rebecca Frame of Buckhannon; and brothers, Allen (Cindy) Kuhn of Bob White, WV and Russell (Misty) Kuhn of Marthatown, WV.

He leaves behind five grandchildren, Clay, Torie, Morgan, Taylor, and Tyler, and five great grandchildren, whom he loved so very much.

Doug was an Army veteran, 82nd airborne, and spent most of his career as a coal miner and was a devoted member of the UMWA, as well as a diehard Raiders and Dodgers fan.

He also spent many years coaching little league baseball and peewee/midget league football.

He had countless friends and family that he enjoyed spending days and nights with, always living his life to the fullest.

A celebration of life will be held at Allen and Cindy’s in Bob White on Saturday, August 9th at 2pm. All family and friends are welcome.
