Annette Fetty-Santilli is a top fundraiser at Pittsburgh PurpleStride

Annette Fetty-Santilli of Clarksburg, West Virginia, Community Partner for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN), was one of the three top fundraisers at the annual Pittsburgh PurpleStride: the Walk to End Pancreatic Cancer on Saturday, April 26.

She raised over $16,000 as captain of Team West Virginia for the event. This is the second year that Annette was among the Top 3 fundraisers.

The Pittsburgh PurpleStride is one of the nation’s Top 10 PurpleStrides in the country, and raised over $600,000.

Team West Virginia finished in the Top 10 as well.

On Saturday, April 26, there were 60 PurpleStrides all over the nation, and over 63,000 people participated. Two PurpleStrides, Los Angeles and Washington, DC, raised over $1,000,000 each.

Annette has been volunteering for PanCAN since her 38-year-old brother passed away from pancreatic cancer. In 2016, she was named the 2016 National PanCAN Community Advocate of the Year, and served on the National Volunteer Advisory Council.

After PurpleStride Pittsburgh, Annette said, “I received the medal, but it just doesn’t belong to me. I’m sharing this medal with every single person who helped TEAM WEST VIRGINIA in any way.”
