Renowned vocalist and songwriter Keli Nicole Price to share journey “From Granny’s to the Grammys” at Glenville State University 

GLENVILLE, WV – Glenville State University is thrilled to announce an exclusive event featuring the illustrious Keli Nicole Price, a multi-talented songwriter and vocalist whose journey from humble beginnings to Grammy-winning success has captivated audiences worldwide. Titled “Finding My Way: From Granny’s to the Grammys,” this event will take place on February 20 at 1:00 PM in the MCCC Ballroom. 

Keli Nicole Price’s remarkable career began at the tender age of 17 when she embarked on a tour with industry giants Missy Elliott, Timbaland, and Aaliyah, collectively known as the “Superfriends.” Despite being in her first semester at HBCU Elizabeth City State University, her undeniable talent and passion for music set her on a trajectory towards stardom. 

Throughout her illustrious career, Price lent her powerhouse vocals and songwriting prowess to many projects, collaborating with esteemed labels such as Elektra Records, Warner Music Group, and Sony Records, among others. She seamlessly transitioned into the realm of songwriting, penning hits for a myriad of artists, including Solange Knowles, Rodney Jerkins, Nipsey Hussle, Destiny’s Child, Tamia, PJ Morton, and Will Smith. 

Price’s crowning achievements include three Grammy nominations for her contribution to Beyoncé’s chart-topping single “Déjà Vu,” as well as a Grammy win for Best Contemporary R&B Album for Beyoncé’s “B’day.” Additionally, she imparts her wealth of knowledge and expertise as an educator, teaching Contemporary R&B, Lyrics, and Topline classes at Berklee College of Music.
