Neva Jean Moore

Neva Jean Moore, age 80, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.

She was born June 26, 1942, in Fort Gay, WV, a daughter of the late Willard and Mary Etta Cyrus Robertson. On November 5, 1963, she married Winston Delano Moore who preceded her in death on November 23, 2015. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

She is survived three sons, Winston Moore, Jr., of Coal City, WV, William Jeffrey Moore and wife Rinnie of Newbern, NC and John Dennis Moore of Buckhannon; one daughter, Alice Teets and husband BJ of Buckhannon; five grandsons, William Jeffrey Moore, Jr. and fiancée, Sarah Delaney of Barboursville, WV, Christopher Aaron and Nicholas Ryan Moore both of Newbern, Trevor McKenzie Moore and wife Abigail of Barboursville and William Brady Teets of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Kayla Brooke Fogle and husband Josh of Salem, VA and Delana Joy Asbury and husband Bryan of Buckhannon; five great-grandchildren and three brothers and six sisters.

Mrs. Moore was a homemaker. She loved quilting, reading, gardening and the outdoors.

Friends will be received Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 11 AM until 12 Noon at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 12:30 PM on Thursday, December 29, 2022, in the Buckhannon Veterans Cemetery in Buckhannon with Rev. Dennis Estes officiating.
