Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital announces new imaging manager

WESTON, W.Va. – Long-time employee Rick Thomason, R.T. (R)(MR), was recently named Imaging Department Manager at Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital. Thomason has been employed by the Hospital since 1994 and served as the assistant director for several years before his recent promotion.

“I am humbled and excited to manage an outstanding radiology department which provides excellent patient care to our community,” Thomason said. “I am proud to lead this imaging team as we look forward to exciting opportunities for Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital.”

Thomason is a Lewis County native and received his associate degree from Fairmont State University. He was in the United States Army from 1985 until 1999. During his time in the Army, he trained as a medic, lab technician, and radiologic technician. He served in a Reserve Unit in Fairmont from 1988 until 1999. He is married to his wife, Tammy, and together they share one son.

Thomason was very involved with his son’s activities, serving as the coach for the youth wrestling and Pony League teams. He loves spending time with his family and doing other outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing.

“Since I’m from the area, I know many of our patients who come for care. I like to think that I am really contributing to the community by my work here,” he said.
