WVWC’s Hoffman named ITA Division II Women’s Regional Coach of the Year

BUCKHANNON — The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (“ITA”) announced the 2026 ITA Division II Women’s Regional Award recipients. West Virginia Wesleyan College head coach Kyle Hoffman was named ITA/Dunlop Women’s Tennis Coach of the Year.

Hoffman led his Bobcat squad to its first 15-win season since 2010 (15-8), a school record and a vast improvement from last year’s 8-win team. The Wesleyan women were selected to the NCAA Division II post-season as the #5-seed in the Atlantic Region 1 tournament where they were defeated by Fairmont State.

Every year the ITA recognizes coaches and student-athletes for their excellence both on the court and in their communities throughout the season.

The Division II regional awards include: ITA/Dunlop Coach of the Year, ITA Assistant Coach of the Year, Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship, ITA Rookie of the Year, ITA Most Improved Player, ITA Senior Player of the Year, ITA Player to Watch, and ITA Community Service Award.
