WVWC cross country teams compete at Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN — The West Virginia Wesleyan men’s and women’s cross country teams were in action this past weekend at the YSU Inaugural Alumni Meet. Out of ten teams, the women placed sixth while the men placedfourth.

For the women, Leigha Hall led the way with a seventh-place finish. This was the top Mountain East Conference runner while also being the third-place finish for the Atlantic Regional runners. Lindsey Dillon, Taylor Hess, and Marium Al’Zoubi all had top 40 finish out of 120 runners.

For the men, Evan Pyles finished the race in seventh place as well. He came in fourth out of all the Mountain East Conference opponents during this race. Rounding out the top five: Anthony Sanders, Cade Robinson, Kent Niland, and Payton Slider all had a top 40 finish out of 120 runners.

The two teams are back in action next weekend, September 28, at the Lock Haven Invitational.
