BUCKHANNON, WV – WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital recently held a Career Day for Buckhannon-Upshur High School juniors and seniors.

The students had the chance to explore diverse careers in the healthcare setting.  Going behind the scenes, they got to witness the various departments that keep a hospital running smoothly.  Students engaged in hands-on activities such as casting, CPR, Stop the Bleed, and ultrasound.

Hospital staff presented realistic scenarios, providing a glimpse into the day-to-day challenges and rewards.  The goal was to give the students an opportunity to learn more about potential future careers as healthcare professionals.
