WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital appoints Evelyn McGee, MBA, as director of ancillary services & ambulatory clinics

WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital has named Evelyn McGee, a healthcare leader with over 30 years of experience and deep community ties, as its new Director of Ancillary Services & Ambulatory Clinics.

WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Evelyn McGee, MBA, as the new Director of Ancillary Services & Ambulatory Clinics. A seasoned healthcare executive with more than 30 years of progressive leadership experience, McGee brings a deep well of operational expertise, a passion for patient-centered care, and a lifelong commitment to the communities of North Central West Virginia.

Originally from Clarksburg, McGee has built a distinguished career focused on improving healthcare delivery across North Central West Virginia. Over the past three decades, she has led teams in both clinical operations and ancillary services, always with a focus on enhancing patient experience, strengthening provider collaboration, and ensuring high standards of care. Her leadership is marked by a strong commitment to community-based healthcare and a results-driven approach that supports both quality outcomes and long-term organizational growth.

Prior to joining St. Joseph’s Hospital, McGee served as Director of Market Operations at Dermatologists of Central States, Inc. from May 2019 to July 2025. Before that, she held the position of Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at Mountain State Medical Specialties, Inc., where she led operational and clinical strategies from 1994 to 2019.

Beyond her professional achievements, McGee is a lifelong resident of North Central West Virginia and a member of Immaculate Conception Church. She enjoys camping, hiking, traveling, and yoga. She is also the proud mother of three children, two stepchildren, and seven grandchildren.
