WVU Medicine Children’s and WVRC Media will again partner for the WVRC Media Cares for Kids Radiothon to benefit patients and families in need.
On Thursday, Aug. 21 and Friday, Aug. 22, WVRC radio stations will broadcast live from the Hostetler Family Resource Center, located on the tenth floor of WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital.
“We’re excited to continue partnering with WVRC Media to share all the amazing things happening at WVU Medicine Children’s across the state and region,” Amy L. Bush, B.S.N., M.B.A., C.N.O.R., chief administrative officer of WVU Medicine Children’s, said. “We can’t wait for listeners to meet our dedicated team and hear from our inspiring patients. We are grateful for the community’s support to raise critical funds that help our kids and expectant mothers.”
Patients and families will share their stories of hope and healing with listeners. WVU Medicine Children’s healthcare providers will also visit to share what makes this life-saving care being offered in West Virginia so important to the local communities.
During this time, listeners at home can be part of building a legacy of world-class healthcare.

Last year, Radiothon raised a record $191,740 to benefit the greatest needs of WVU Medicine Children’s. Those donations also provided comfort to families when they need it most.
This year, 30 radio stations will broadcast from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. from markets across the region including Clarksburg, Keyser, Martinsburg, Elkins, Charleston, Beckley, Fairmont, and Morgantown.
