William (Bill) Henry Mowery

William (Bill) Henry Mowery, age 66, of Buckhannon, WV, died Friday, February 10, 2023, at his home.

He was born August 18, 1956, in Glenville, WV, a son of the late Ofa Mowery and Delma K. Cottrill Curry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his companion, Pam Casto; three sons, Joshua Shankle, John Brady and Brad Casto; three brothers, Ofa J., David and James Mowery and one sister, Margie Gatewood.

He is survived by three daughters, Angie Helms of AL, Latasha Shankle of TN and Misty Ball of Buckhannon; three sons, Kevin and Chad Casto and Shane Courtney all of Buckhannon; twelve grandsons, eleven granddaughters; two great-grandsons and one great grandchild on the way; one niece; one nephew; aunt, Hazel Walton of Buckhannon and many cousins, friends and loved ones.

Bill was a member of the Buckhannon VFW and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Friends will be received Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 11 AM until 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. William Kerns officiating. In honoring Bill’s wishes he will be cremated following the funeral services.
